A Quiz with no Prizes? Exactly!

Solely for your interest and entertainment (though just possibly in the devious hope that you would look closely at the wonderful films this society has already shown and decide that you must join) we have a little quiz. There are no prizes but we are sure that your own immense satisfaction will suffice.

Most of the pages (not the separately openable windows) on this web site have a film still, or part of it, in the top left-hand corner. You will have noticed that it is numbered. All are from films that we have seen but ...

Come to think, that's not quite true. One of them is from a film that we had asked for but were never able to see, because the exhibition licence had lapsed. The distributor hadn't noticed until the Wells Film Centre (the exhibitor) asked when they would receive the reels so that they could prepare it for screening (can take up to 4 hours). So this film isn't in our list of films seen — but it was by the same director as the one which we saw in its place.

All you have to do is to give the title of the film for each image but ...

Come to think, that's not quite true. For that one exception above, we want the name of the film that we DID see.
